Looking for some good bedtime reading? Go find that dusty old box of childhood comics that we know you have in some corner of your house. The 90s comics we all read in our childhoods were amazing. We went on adventures with Supandi, fought crime with the likes of Nagraj and Super Commando Dhruva, and even learned about mythology in the pages of Amar Chitra Katha. We loved to secretly hide them behind our textbooks and pretend to study!
Remember some of these favourite childhood comics?
1. Tinkle
When the postman brought letters for mom and dad, we excitedly awaited our delivery of Tinkle. This childhood comic was a treasure of friends and fun for us 90s kids. They were full of clever stories with characters like Shikari Shambu, Pyarelal, and of course, our favourite Supandi. Plus, they had quizzes and puzzles that kept us entertained!
2. Champak
If we weren’t waiting for Tinkle in the mail, we were definitely waiting for Champak. We loved the amazing stories, jokes, and brain teasers in this childhood comic. Plus, it taught us not to believe in superstitions.

Monkeys and elephants, lions and jackals - the entire animal kingdom was our friend with Panchtantra comics! Panchtantra took an ancient Sanskrit collection of animal fables and made them super relatable for us 90s kids. Even today, we remember the story of the monkey and the crocodile, the foolish lion and the clever jackal, and so many others. With these 90s comics, we had fun while learning moral lessons.

In a superhero universe that didn’t have too many women, Shakti was a badass inspiration for boys and girls alike.
